Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park in Chico is available for weddings all year. Some restrictions on available days and hours may apply.
A beautiful gazebo on the front lawn in front of the Mansion makes a perfect setting for intimate weddings. This area is shaded by the many historic trees found on the Mansion grounds.
The lawn at the rear of the Bidwell Mansion can accommodate larger weddings. The back drop of Annie’s rose and flower garden make this area perfect for a spring and summer wedding.
Receptions can be held on the grounds and in the Visitor Center Theater. Costs vary depending on facilities used and staffing needs. The facilities are also perfect for engagement parties or renewal ceremonies.
Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park is still closed. To meet the need of our local and statewide teachers we have a variety of options available for online learning.
We have digitized the information and activities from our gold and gadget programs to the site and are able to furnish instructors with co-access to each “grid” or program. This will allow instructors to moderate student’s responses, add their own video instructions, and generally connect with their classrooms on the topic. In order to become a co-moderator, or “co-pilot” in the nomenclature of the site, instructors will need to make a free educator account on Flipgrid and provide their email associated with the account to Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park staff at bidwellmansion.schools@parks.ca.gov.
